Century Group Inc. provides hi -rail access grade crossing panels to help facilitate the ingress and egress of rail maintenance equipment and inspection vehicles. Century Group
can manufacture custom panels with extra wide field panels to maximize the premium surface in which vehicles and equipment can transfer on and off of the railroad tracks. If your project calls for a third rail design, Century Group can custom design concrete crossing panels to fit around the third rail restraint brackets, special tracks and other appurtenances.
Hi-Rail Access Crossing
In locations where there are multiple tracks such as light rail systems or rail yards, Century Group Inc. manufactures a devil strip panel which runs from rail to rail eliminating the need to have different surfaces between the hi -rail access crossings.
The Century hi -rail access crossings are designed to meet HS20-44 loadings with a 30% impact increment and withstand the extra heavy loading which commonly occurs when hi -Rail vehicles and equipment access the railroad tracks. Because of the nature of hi -rail vehicles and the manner in which the track are lowered to access the rail, the grade crossing panels, especially around the flangeway filler area, may be susceptible to greater loads than the average grade crossings at light rail stations and pedestrian crosswalks. With our extensive experience in designing concrete railroad grade crossings, Century Group has the ability to manufacture hi -rail access crossing panels to withstand these types of operations.
