Century Group Inc. has its own steel fabrication facility that designs and fabricates all molds, reinforcement and any structural 
metal products required to produce the precast concrete closed riser stair treads. Century's welders and steel fabricators are AWS (American Welding Society) certified and follow all AWS guidelines regarding fabrication of the stair tread molds and reinforcement.

Century batches all of its concrete which allows us to produce quality concrete second to none. Our plant supervisors are ACI (American Concrete Institute) certified and our concrete batch plant/manufacturing facilities are certified by NPCA (National Precast Concrete Association) which has one of the most vigorous certification programs to insure that all precast concrete products are of the highest quality.

Manufactured using American Grade 60 steel reinforcement and 5000 p.s.i. concrete 28 days, the Century closed riser stair treads have unparalleled structural strength and durability. The Century precast concrete stair treads will not rot like wood treads or rust
like metal treads especially in northern climates where salt and deicers are commonly used. Century's state-of-the-art mix design includes air entrainment and admixtures to insure the highest in quality and durability which allows the concrete stair treads to have a greater resistance to freeze-thaw and deicing agents.

concrete and corrosion of the metal tread pans from salt, deicers and moisture.

SAFE
Century's precast concrete closed riser stair treads have been engineered and designed to meet both the International Building Code 1009.3 Stair treads and risers and International Residential Code R311.5.3 Stair treads and risers. Designed by structural engineers, the Century closed riser stair treads meet and exceed local, state and federal building codes and specifications. The Century concrete stair treads have:
- Uniform live load of 100 lbs. per square foot.
- Non-skid surface that exceeds OSHA and ADA recommended surface coefficient of friction.
EASY INSTALLATION
The Century precast concrete closed riser stair tread is easy to install. Simply place the stair 
tread over the structural support structure with the imbedded anchor bolts fitting into the angle clips attached to the support beams. Once the stair tread is in place it is fastened to the angle clips using a nut and lock washer. The Century precast concrete
stair treads are ready to install as soon as they arrive on the project and you eliminate the messy job of pouring concrete into metal pans and having to wait days for the poured in place concrete stair treads to cure.
