DURABILITY
Specifying Century precast concrete stair treads on your next project assures that you will have the most durable concrete stair tread available. When you use precast concrete stair treads you have a product that is fire resistant. Precast concrete is non-combustible. Concrete does not lose its structural capacity nearly as quickly as steel which is now a significant consideration as witnessed in the attacks on the World Trade Center.
Precast concrete is resistant to most substances and will not rust or corrode like metal stair 
pans. Century concrete stair treads are manufactured using air entrainment and admixtures which make them resistant to freeze-thaw cycles, salts and deicing agents.
Because Century concrete stair treads are produced in a controlled environment, they exhibit high quality and uniformity unlike metal stair pans filled with redi-mix or hand mixed concrete in the field.
SAFE
Safety is of the highest priority at Century Group. Our concrete stair treads have been
engineered and designed to meet both the International Building Code 1009.3 Stair treads and risers and International Residential Code R311.5.3 Stair treads and risers.
Designed by structural engineers the Century precast concrete stair treads meet and exceed local, state and federal building codes.
The Century concrete stair treads are designed for:
1. Uniform live load of 100 lbs. per square foot.
2. Dead load of 300 lbs. per 4 square inches.
Century's concrete stair treads have a safe non-skid surface meeting both OSHA and ADA recommended surface coefficient of friction standards.
